Any producer of a corporate event/awards evening will tell you the mighty amounts of effort and organising that they require. And the anxiety and hope that they bring also. The venue, the set design, judging, nominations, audio/visual, sponsorship, menus, the band, PR… all of this can be perfect and yet can be undone by a host who gets it wrong. A host who doesn’t listen to the brief, says the wrong thing and causes offence. Or a famous host who doesn’t care and just dials in a generic and tired performance. Dominic Holland is not this booking. He enjoys such events and does everything he can to add to the evening. He happily takes conference calls and even pre-show meetings and will arrive on time and when the client requests. He instinctively knows the line to tread being irreverent but never defamatory and always funny and hugely entertaining. Which explains why Dominic has been used so extensively by so many blue chip companies and why he is rebooked so frequently.
